As no publisher was willing to take the liability of such a controversial book, she initially printed it herself, and after it became a hot selling book, it was published by Vanguard books. I’d say it’s more like a long essay.

Angry and courageous in outlook, the novel places Durrani among the foremost writers of the Indian sub-continent. If he can treat his own women this way, how will he treat the nation?
There was no way out but to keep spinning this endless poisonous loop until either the tormenter or the tormented gives up his hope on survival. According to google, she is quite a character herself though I am not going to judge her.

Overall, I have to say that I have rarely read such a powerful and gr This makes for a difficult and painful read and is certainly not for the faint hearted. She is currently involved in the emancipation of women in Pakistan. This book is incredible. Living in purdah blwsphemy made up her mind to fight against the age-old tehina and norms prevalent in the society in the name of religion.
