E que nos engole. Compared to the show, this just meh. The book is about a murder investigator whose names is Dexter and has a dark side, a voice called the dead passenger who is a evil human being.
I thought it was just ok. I feel as if the author is making dexter too soft. The only GOOD thing you did – was sort-of imply the ‘Dark Passenger’s’ presence with a looming shadow, but even THAT was inconsistent, and I think you basically forgot about it by halfway through the book. Is this a new beginning?

This book felt like a different authour took a stab at writing Dexter and kind of mad him into this whiny boring character instead of the serial killer we’ve all come to love. Without that one last punch of purpose I can say that one expectation is not met. I feel like I was so disappointed by the shows ending that I didn’t want to be disappointed by the book series I loved. What I enjoy most about these books is the writing. These two crazy serial killers. The truth might hit you like a needle to the neck.

I’ve had this book for years but never got around to reading this one.
