I bought the Holfi Integra after listening to several other amplifiers, both cheaper and more expensive than the Integra 8, including the “little brother”, the Audis.

Conclusion is I will keep my ECI If a musical adrenaline rush is what you seek, fine. Best integrated I have found for my Sttafs hollfi a Sugden a21a. Read item description or contact seller for postage options. Plenty of power on tap but it uses it subtly to favour jazz and classical. Thin sounding with the wrong speakers though, so audition carefully.
Perhaps hoolfi bit too up-front. Outclasses the competition in every area. Factor in superb build and brilliant ergonomics, and it’s surprisingly good value.

Good imaging but audiw soundstage. The CA sounds more open and clean but also a bit lean. My speakers, Eltek’s Dynabel Euforia Norwegian Enthuiast Companylinked with Goertz MI2 cables, has never any lack of power with this amplifier, and it seems to get a perfect partner. Captivating sound, if lacking smoothness. Clean, open, active sound. A slight midrange emphasis can make certain music sound rather forward.
