Surprisingly, I actually liked the movie more than the book, just because they didn’t try to create a relationship between Gray and Darby, which just seemed super forced and cheesy in the book.

The Pelican Brief is darker than Grisham’s usual works, but it’s still very well-written and original, and its descriptions of characters and scenery are very vivid and realistic.
